What better setting to begin your wine education journey than at a vineyard? Hambledon Vineyard has been an official Wine and Spirits Education Trust Approved Programme Provider for several years, and is the only vineyard and winery in the UK offering the full study programme.
The WSET Level 1 Award in Wines is the perfect introduction for anyone looking to learn more about wine in a relaxed, welcoming and hands-on environment. Whether you’re curious, hoping to grow your confidence or looking for a solid foundation in wine knowledge, this course is designed to make the world of wine feel accessible and enjoyable.
£575 per person to include all course materials, 16 hours of guided study time, all tasting samples (approximately 43 wines), study materials, lunch (dietary requirements must be communicated at the time of booking) and exam fees.
Please note: this course requires at least 11 hours of private study.
The WSET Level 2 Award in Wines is assessed by a closed-book theory examination of 50 multiple-choice questions, to be completed in 60
minutes. A candidate is required to pass with a minimum mark of 55 per cent. The exam is sat on the last day of the course.
No prior knowledge is required for this course.
Participation is only available to those over the age of 18. You will need to bring photo ID on the day of the course in order to sit the exam.

If you can no longer attend, bookings may be moved once to an alternative date, provided we receive at least two weeks’ notice before the course start date.
Please note that a minimum number of bookings is required for the course to go ahead. If this number is not met, Hambledon Wine Estate reserves the right to withdraw the course. Should this happen, you will be notified two weeks before the course date.
