WINEMAKER'S INSIGHT TOUR & TASTING

SELECT DATES IN 2026 | 10:30AM OR 3PM

Join us as we go behind the scenes and explore Hambledon's gravity-fed winery and learn the process and considerations that go into making our award-winning sparkling wines. This tour takes place in both our winery and barrel room; the latter is not accessible on our public Tour and Tasting.

This guided Winery Tour will give you in-depth insight to the world of our Winemaker Felix Gabillet, and the decisions he makes throughout the year, including trying some samples from the tank and barrels, finishing with a tasting of four of our sparkling wines. Perfect if you'd like a deeper understanding of English wine or are interested in studying Oenology.

The Winery Tour is led by one of our knowledgeable guides and there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions. The group size is limited to 10 people.

The full experience typically runs for 1.5 to 2 hours. This includes a guided walk through the vineyard, behind-the-scenes access to our winery and cellars, and concludes with a relaxed, tutored wine tasting in our Tasting Room. We recommend allowing extra time if you're joining us for lunch afterwards.

Not at all. Whether you’re completely new to wine tasting or already have a deep appreciation, our in-house wine educators tailor the experience to be informative and enjoyable for all guests. It’s the perfect introduction to English sparkling wine.

The tour involves walking on natural vineyard terrain and through our winery and cellars. While much of the route is accessible, there may be uneven or sloped surfaces, and the winery involves climbing two sets of circular stairs. We recommend comfortable footwear and ask that you contact us ahead of time if you have any accessibility requirements.

Absolutely. Many guests choose to extend their visit with a meal at our on-site restaurant, which celebrates local produce in refined seasonal dishes. You can add a table for lunch during the tour booking process and choose to dine before or after your experience.

Incredibly informative and interesting vineyard tour of the vines and the wine making facilities together with the cellar! Clive was so knowledgeable making it so enjoyable. We’ve visited quite a few of the south east vineyards and this was by far one of the best! We learnt so much more here and absolutely loved the sparkling English wines produced. I don’t know why it’s taken us so long to visit Hambledon and hope to return soon. Their new tasting rooms and restaurant is an amazing beautiful facility and the service first class. Hambledon should be rightly proud of the hospitality team and most definitely Clive who made our day!
