Established in 1952 by Major-General Sir Guy Salisbury-Jones, Hambledon Wine Estate is England's oldest commercial vineyard. Almost 75 years later, under the esteemed guidance of Berry Bros. & Rudd and Symington Family Estates, we continue to pride ourselves on our rich heritage and our shared goal: to create the Finest English Sparkling Wine.
In 1952, Major Guy Salisbury-Jones planted vines on the South Downs chalk and created England's first commercial vineyard. Over seventy years on, the same chalk terroir and the same pioneering spirit are in every bottle.

Join us for our new wine, dine and discovery nights. Each evening follows a wine theme, whether a grape variety, a country or a region, with a three-course menu designed to match the wines in your glass.
Relaxed and convivial, these dinners are a chance to try wines you might not usually choose, and to chat with like-minded guests about the food, the wines and what’s happening at Hambledon Wine Estate.

Join us in The Restaurant for an indulgent Christmas Eve lunch this year. Explore our five-course tasting menu — from venison carpaccio through to halibut risotto, wellington and a roulade, finished with a mini mince pie.

As the year turns, accompany us on the estate for an evening that captures everything we love about Hambledon after dark. Expect cocktails, live music and hearty roaming plates that go well beyond canapés, all building to a midnight fireworks display over the vines.

Listed in the Michelin Guide, the restaurant looks out over Hambledon's vineyard and the South Downs. The kitchen works with seasonal Hampshire produce and pairs everything with wines from the estate.
