Our first Première Cuvée Rosé is a blend based on the 2016 harvest. The style is a more vinous and gastronomic version of rosé based on the saignée method. A longer lees ageing – the wine was bottled in 2017 and the recent released was only disgorged this year – gives the depth and complexity worthy of our Première range.
"Overall impression, this is serious, it's gastronomic, it's quite beautiful. One of the finest English roses I've tried."

“This is a Pinot Meunier-driven sparkling rosé made using the saignée method, showcasing a dark salmon-pink colour. Based on the 2016 vintage, the latest release was bottled in 2017 and disgorged in 2022. Toasty on the nose with caramelised red apple and red berries. The palate is full-on and rounded, featuring brioche and biscuit, complemented by zingy red pomelo and red apple, refreshed by bright acidity (9g/l). A satisfying rosé with spectacular breadth and flavour concentration. Elegantly poised, it still has plenty of life ahead.”
Tasting Notes
The colour is a delicate strawberry pink, with just a suggestion of bronze and onion skin. The bouquet springs from the glass, immediate and assertive, rich with sweet summer raspberry fruit and subtle autumnal blackberry. The blend's high proportion of Pinot Meunier also gives the wine a heady note and flavour, slightly savoury and suggestive of miso. It is this character that drives the wine in its vinous direction, being as suitable for the table as it is as an apéritif. The palate is finely knit and multi-layered after its extended ageing in bottle, and remains vivacious and intense, ripe and seductive yet with a beguiling marine undertone.
