Situated in the beautiful South Downs National Park, our Hampshire-based wine estate is open all year round for tours tasting and special events.

The harvest period is one of the most exciting times to visit Hambledon Wine Estate, as we find plenty of opportunities to give our guests a glimpse behind the scenes to see what happens during this crucial time in our calendar.

For the month of October our Estate Tour & Tasting is not available. During this time the Winery is a hive of activity as Felix and his team are busy creating our base wine from the recently picked grapes. The Harvest 2025: Tasting Experience is only available in October.  If you are looking to book our standard Tour (available from November) please visit: Vineyard Tour & Tasting.

Due to harvest taking place, our tours have been reshaped to allow you to experience Hambledon Wine Estate from the comfort of our Tasting Room.  For a limited time only, we are offering a relaxed, seated wine experience, where our team of expert guides will tell the story of Hambledon’s unique history, guide you through how we craft our wine from grape to glass and our vision for Hambledon’s future.  Depending on what is happening the winery that day, you may be able to taste some grape juice fresh off the press, or see how the winemakers take sugar readings.

This wine experience will be accompanied by a tasting of 4 of our Sparkling Wines poured in around 75ml samples that reflect the character of our house style and our exceptional terroir. For those driving or unable to drink, spittoons are available

Why not make a day of it? Add a relaxing lunch at our Estate Restaurant, where local, seasonal ingredients shine. It’s the perfect complement to a morning or afternoon spent exploring Britain’s most celebrated wine destination.

Your Exclusive Behind-The-Scenes Ultimate Vineyard Experience

This intimate tour and dining experience offers you and your guests a chance to discover hidden areas of the estate that are not accessible on other tours. With a maximum of 4 people per Safari, this is an unparalleled opportunity to gain an in-depth knowledge of Hambledon Wine Estate in the company of one of our knowledgeable and friendly guides.  

Drive through our vineyards to see first-hand how we grow our grapes, look behind-the-scenes in our winery, before enjoying a tutored tasting of four of our award-winning sparkling wines. Your experience will conclude with a delicious seasonal three-course lunch in our new Restaurant, accompanied by a glass of our Classic Cuvée.

*Please note, the maximum capacity for this experience is 4 people. If your booking is for less than 4, you may be sharing the Grenadier vehicle with others.

Winery Tour 2025

Explore behind the scenes at Hambledon Wine Estate

Join us as we go behind the scenes and explore Hambledon's gravity-fed winery and learn the process and considerations that go into making our award-winning sparkling wines. This tour takes place in both our winery and barrel room; the latter is not accessible on our public Tour and Tasting. 

This guided Winery Tour will give you in-depth insight to the world of our Winemaker Felix Gabillet, and the decisions he makes throughout the year, including trying some samples from the tank and barrels. Perfect if you'd like a deeper understanding of English wine or are interested in studying Oenology. 

The Winery Tour is led by one of our knowledgeable guides and there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions. The group size is limited to 10 people.

Informative and Interesting Vineyard Tour

Incredibly informative and interesting vineyard tour of the vines and the wine making facilities together with the cellar! Clive was so knowledgeable making it so enjoyable. We’ve visited quite a few of the south east vineyards and this was by far one of the best! We learnt so much more here and absolutely loved the sparkling English wines produced. I don’t know why it’s taken us so long to visit Hambledon and hope to return soon. Their new tasting rooms and restaurant is an amazing beautiful facility and the service first class. Hambledon should be rightly proud of the hospitality team and most definitely Clive who made our day!

Lovely afternoon!

We had a lovely afternoon on a tour and tasting experience. Simon the guide was very knowledgeable and happy to answer questions. The tasting was good too...a good amount of each wine to taste!
We sat in the courtyard after the tasting and enjoyed a lovely pizza and couple more drinks. The young man that served us was a great host! Chatty smiley and happy to help. What a lovely way to spend a sunny Sunday afternoon

It was one of the best English vineyard tours we had: a complete tour from vineyard to winery, following the viticultural year and winemaking process step by step. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit

We’ve done several vineyard tours but this was by far the best. Clive, our guide, was so knowledgable and interesting and his love for wine shone through. Our tour lasted over an hour and a half and we were thoroughly entertained by Clive as he took us through the history of the vineyard as well as the sparkling wine making process.
