Give a day at the Birthplace of English Wine
A Hambledon gift is a morning in the vines, a glass of English sparkling wine tasted where it's made, or a long lunch looking out over the South Downs. Every experience below can be bought as a voucher, sent free by email or posted in gift packaging, and booked by the recipient on a day that suits them. No wine knowledge is needed for any of them.

Give someone the walk through the vines of England’s first commercial vineyard, planted on South Downs chalk in 1952. Our guides take them through the gravity-fed winery and down into the cellars cut into the chalk, then into the Tasting Room for three of our sparkling wines. It leaves time to stay for lunch in the Restaurant afterwards, and to take a bottle home from the Cellar Door Shop.
The standard tour pauses each October for harvest, and with 12 months to use the voucher there are plenty of dates either side.

A Taste of Hambledon
Guided Tasting Flights
THURS - SAT | 11AM - 5PM
For someone who’d rather sit and taste than walk the estate, a Guided Tasting Flight is four wines of their choosing from 14, including our own sparkling wines, with a member of our team on hand to talk them through each glass. The flight takes around 30 minutes, but their table on the terrace or in the Restaurant Bar is theirs for the hour.

Lunch for Two
The Tasting Table
A two-course lunch in the Restaurant and a guided tasting flight of four wines, for two people. It’s a gift that begins after Christmas: the voucher can be used from 26 December 2026 for 12 months, on Thursdays and Fridays, and is booked by calling us on +44 (0) 2392 632 358. Drinks beyond the tasting flight are charged on the day.

The Restaurant
Dining at Hambledon
A dining voucher for any amount from £25, spent on lunch or dinner in the Restaurant, with its seasonal menu and views across the vines to the South Downs. Lunch is served Wednesday to Sunday and dinner Wednesday to Saturday. As a guide, the set lunch, served Wednesday to Friday, is £40 for two courses or £48 for three.
The recipient quotes the voucher number when paying their bill.

With FatClay Pottery
Vineyard to Pottery Studio
A tasting at Hambledon, or a tour and tasting, followed by a pottery session with FatClay at Rushmere Farm in Hambledon village: either hand building, or 2.5 hours on the wheel. It suits small groups of up to six, Wednesday to Sunday, depending on availability at both the estate and the studio. This voucher is valid for 6 months.

No. Our team starts from the vines and the chalk, and every experience is made for first-time visitors as much as for people who already know English sparkling wine.
Tours and tastings are for over 18s only. Tours involve standing and walking on uneven ground, and the winery is reached by two spiral staircases, so please call us before buying if mobility is a concern.
Yes. Our Land Rover Defender collects guests from Petersfield or Havant stations, or from within five miles of the estate, for £18 each way. See Defender drop offs and pick ups.
A monetary gift voucher, for any amount from £10, can be spent on any experience or a meal in the Restaurant, so the recipient can choose for themselves.
