Hambledon Vineyard provides the ideal venue to study for Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Qualifications. Hambledon Vineyard has been an Approved Programme Provider for a number of years and are delighted to be restarting the WSET courses in September 2023.

For individuals new to the subject of, this qualification provides a hands-on introduction to the world of wine. It is ideal for those looking to gain basic factual knowledge of a variety of wines.  

Explore the main types and styles of wine through sight, smell and taste - while also gaining the basic skills to describe wines accurately and make food and wine pairings.

£200 per person to include all course materials, 6 hours of guided study time, all tasting samples, buffet style lunch (dietary requirements must be communicated at the time of booking), exam fees, Vineyard Tour Voucher for 2 people to be used at a future date. 

The course has a requirement of a minimum of 6 hours of guided study time with an Approved Programme Provider. This is an in person course, taught at Hambledon Vineyards, Hampshire. At least 6 wines will be tasted, in a variety of styles. The course begins at 09:15 and finishes at approximately 17:30.  There will be a maximum of 16 students on each course. 

Assessment is by a closed book exam of 30 multiple choice questions, sat over 45 minutes at the end of the 6 hours of guided study time.

No prior knowledge is required for this course.

Participation is only available to those over the age of 18. You will need to bring photo id on the day of the course in order to sit the exam.
