STUDY WSET: LEVEL TWO AT HAMBLEDON

What better setting to begin your wine education journey than at a vineyard? Hambledon Vineyard has been an official Wine and Spirits Education Trust Approved Programme Provider for several years, and is the only vineyard and winery in the UK offering the full study programme.

If you’ve already got some wine knowledge and would like to build on it, WSET Level 2 is a really enjoyable next step. It’s designed to give you a broader understanding of the world of wine, helping you feel more confident with the grapes, regions and styles you’re most likely to come across, and the ‘why’ behind their flavours and profiles.

what you'll learn

Across three Sunday sessions, you’ll taste through a wide range of wines with your tutor, exploring the principal grape varieties of the world and the regions they come from. Along the way, you’ll look at the factors that influence style and quality, take notes and build a stronger understanding of how to taste, talk about and choose wine with confidence.

You’ll learn:
• about the principal and regionally important grape varieties of the world
• where these grapes are grown and the styles of wine they produce
• the key factors that influence wine style and quality
• how to describe wines with confidence
• how to apply the WSET approach through both tasting and theory
