hosted wine dinners

A new monthly series of informal, wine-led dinners at Hambledon Wine Estate...

an evening of wine, food and good company

Join us at Hamledon Wine Estate for our new monthly Hosted Wine Dinners. Each evening follows a wine theme, whether a grape variety, a country or a region, with a three-course menu designed to match the wines in your glass.

Relaxed and convivial, these dinners are a chance to try wines you might not usually choose, and to chat with like-minded guests about the food, the wines and what’s happening at Hambledon Wine Estate and across the wider UK wine scene. Come as a couple, with friends or on your own; you’ll be very welcome.

Our first dinner takes place on Thursday 12th November, with a selection of wines from our Cellar Door.

Three family-owned wineries, one thread: sustainable production

Every wine in our Cellar Door range comes from a family-owned winery with an emphasis on sustainable production. For this first dinner, we’re pouring wines from three of them.

Lyrarakis | Crete, Greece

Lyrarakis has led the revival of native Cretan grape varieties that might otherwise have been lost for good. The family continues to search the island for forgotten varieties and distinctive terroirs, producing wines with real character.

Diego e Damiano Barale | Piemonte, Italy

Organic farming practices run across the Barale vineyards, with minimal chemical intervention. Traditional, sustainable techniques are used estate-wide to protect soil health and preserve the flavours and aromas that define their terroir.

Christophe Mittnacht, Terres d’Étoiles | Alsace, France

Christophe makes biodynamic wines from some of Alsace’s finest terroirs. The range includes the aromatic, floral and spicy Cuvée Gyotaku and a superb Riesling with classic citrus and mineral notes, a perfect partner for food.
