What is an Enomatic machine?
We love our Enomatic machine. Essentially, it’s a machine that allows customers to sample wines in small quantities while keeping the bottles fresh, at perfect drinking quality, for the next customer. It's a ‘wine dispenser ’ that makes it easier than ever to try before you buy.
How does an Enomatic Machine work?
Much like other wine preservation systems, the Enomatic machine serves wine directly from the bottle, adding an inert gas to the bottle as it does so to make sure the wine stays fresh.
For you, the customer, this means that you’re able to try wines before you buy them in small tasting samples- it also means that you’re free to taste a range of wines that you might not ordinarily have the chance to buy.
When is the enomatic machine available?
Guests are welcome to come into the shop and try the samples in the machine throughout the week:
- Sunday to Thursday: 10 am – 5 pm
- Friday and Saturday: 10 am – 7 pm
Can we take our samples elsewhere in the building?
We have some seating available in the shop; however, you may take your sample upstairs with you if you’d like to enjoy it with a view. No further samples can be served at the table.
How much is in a sample?
Samples are 50ml; enough to really get a feel for whether the wine is the one for you.
Can I get more than one sample?
Yes, you’re welcome to try as many as you like. At any time, there will be up to six different samples in the machine. If you wish to try three or six wines, discounts can be applied.
Can I buy a glass?
Yes, if you find one that you just can’t get enough of, we pour glasses to 150ml
How often does the wine change?
Once a month. On this day, we offer free samples across both the wines that are about to leave us and the wines that are about to take their place. Don't miss out and check The Cellar Door Webpage for dates.
Sip & Shop Switchover Weekends:
On these special dates, we'll be changing the wines available through our Enomatic tasting machine. To mark the occasion, guests are invited to enjoy six free tastings of both the outgoing wines and the new selection arriving on the machine.

New wines available from 2:45 pm
