Produced exclusively from our own estate in Hampshire, 'Circumnavigator' is a traditional method English sparkling wine, made from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. With extended ageing of 36 months on lees, it offers refreshingly crisp notes, luscious citrus fruit and delicate bubbles, perfect for savouring and celebrating.
This wine has been crafted as a celebration of our partnership with the Clipper Round the World Race, united by a pioneering ethos and adventurous spirit, and to also celebrate the intrepid crews, embarking on a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. As they embark on this incredible journey, learn new skills, overcome challenges, and create lifelong memories, Hambledon will be there to celebrate every moment, big or small, from the start line in Portsmouth to the final leg of this remarkable adventure next summer.

The nose is fresh, vibrant, and subtly complex, initially revealing delicate floral aromas of hawthorn and apple blossom, followed by fresh fruity notes of pear and quince. As it evolves, a more pronounced mineral character begins to emerge. On the palate, the mineral tension and salinity shines through. Red fruit notes—blackcurrant, cherry, and blueberry—emerge toward the finish, adding a depth of fruit character. The dosage, at 8g/l, is well-integrated, perfectly balancing the wine's crisp acidity, which imparts a focused, energetic direction to the wine.
