Our Hambledon Classic Cuvée is a well-balanced blend of all 3 traditional grapes, handpicked on our own estate. Aged at least 35 months, it is vibrant, with structured yet ripe acidity. Tasting will elegantly unfold to reveal layers of floral and stone fruit aromas. Full tasting notes below.

Pale brass silver hues, with golden glints down the sides of the glass. Beautifully ‘cool’ Japanese nashi pear, Amalfi lemon, and whiff of beach smoke and water biscuit on the nose.

The palate is so focused, detailed and precise, with a crab apple tartness softening to a texture of white waxy petals, and a wonderful redcurrant and coxes apple fruit.

After ten minutes in the glass, the whole nose comes together and gains toasty, biscuity weight. This wine has terrific potential and will drink well in bottle for a further 5 to 10 years.

A brilliant example of using reserve wines to good effect to add layers of depth and complexity. The relatively low dosage avoids obscuring some of the details. This is quite brilliant.

Winner of Noble Rot Tasting

Hambledon triumphed thanks to high scores across the board, with 2/3 of the judges placing it in their top three. One judge mistakenly wrote “this has to be French".

Creamy, with elegant green apple fruit and some nice nutty development. The high acidity provides freshness, and there is some complexity on the quite round palate. There is a lovely vibrancy and great length of finish.
